What the field looks like
The field is open, with cover and obstacles that let you advance and hide. You play in teams, and the round lasts until the balls run out rather than by the clock, which means the pace of the game is in your hands.
The gear includes a full mask and body protection, and the mask stays on your face as long as you are inside the field. That is the one rule there is no arguing about.
Who this suits
For groups of friends and for families with teenagers. With fewer than six players the game is less interesting, because the field is relatively large and there is not enough movement.
A hit at close range hurts and leaves a mark for a day or two. Anyone bothered by that is better off keeping their distance or choosing another activity.
How many balls to take
Fifty balls are enough for one short round. Anyone coming to play and not just to try will find a hundred balls the right amount, and you can add more on the spot.
Come in clothes you do not mind getting dirty. The paint washes out, but not always completely.
