How the ride works
The ride is accompanied throughout: a team member walks beside the horse or rides ahead of you and sets the pace. The horses are used to inexperienced riders and know the route by heart.
Before you mount, a horse is matched to your height and weight, and you are shown how to hold the reins and how to sit. There is no galloping and no jumping; this is a relaxed ride within the grounds of the complex.
Who this suits
Weight up to 100 kilos. Beyond that it is not possible, and that is a limit set for the horse's welfare rather than the equipment's.
Suitable for children too and for anyone who has never ridden. Anyone who does ride and is looking for a fast ride or an open trail — this is not the place.
Half an hour or an hour
Half an hour is an introduction: getting used to the movement, feeling comfortable and coming away with photos. For most people that is exactly what they were looking for.
An hour suits anyone who has ridden before and wants time in the field rather than just a lap. In the hot hours even half an hour feels long, for you and for the horse.
