What a jet board is
A board with an engine that drives it across the water, and you stand on it and steer with a hand remote and your balance. It is not surfing and not a jet ski; it is a category of its own, and it feels unlike anything else on the water.
Before entering the water there is a short briefing on posture and on the remote. Most people fall in the first few minutes, and that is part of it.
Who this suits
For anyone with reasonable balance who is comfortable in the water. No surfing experience is needed, but you do need to be able to swim.
The first ten minutes are mostly learning. Anyone who wants to actually ride and not just try should take fifteen or twenty.
Worth knowing
Flotation equipment is included and worn throughout the activity. The board keeps moving even after a fall, and the team watches from the water.
A swimsuit and not ordinary clothes — you will get completely wet. Sunglasses are better left on the beach.
