What is it actually
One table, a crane, and an hour in the air
Dinner in the Sky It's an international concept: a table with harnessed seats, raised by a crane to height, and the diners sit around it in the air with the chef and staff in the center.
The Phuket version sits above The Karon coastline, and that's what makes it what it is: the view isn't a backdrop but the main course.
Every seating lasts exactly one hour. This is not a full evening, it's one hour built to be unforgettable, and most people combine it with a meal or a drink before or after.
The venue operates Four seatings a day, 16:00, 17:30, 19:30 and 21:00, and each of them is a completely different experience because of the light.
A meal or cocktails
The first decision, and it doubles the price
There are two entirely different types of seating, at the same table and the same height.
Cocktail seating, an hour at height with drinks and no meal, at 1,900 THB. It's available at 16:00 and 21:00.
Meal seating, a three-course chef's meal, at 3,900 THB. It's available at 16:00, at 19:30 and at 21:00.
and the difference is exactly 2,000 THB, meaning the meal costs more than the experience itself. Those coming for the height, the view and the photo, The cocktails give the same thing for less than half the price.
Those who come for a special meal, the meal is the point, and it's designed around the height, not despite it.
Which time to choose
Four seatings, and the difference between them is the light
16:00: still daytime. The light is full, the view is clear to the horizon, and the heat is already dropping. This is the comfortable seating for those who don't like heights, because you see everything.
17:30: The sunset. This The only seating that catches the sunset over the sea, and it's the most expensive of all, 4,900 THB. Those coming for the photo come here.
19:30: after dark. The beach and city lights from below, and the sea is dark. A completely different experience from the same table.
21:00: the last seating, which includes both a meal and cocktails. Quieter, and suitable for those who've already eaten and want to close out the evening with it.
The difference between the sunset and the other meals is 1,000 THB. This is the price of the light, and it's an entirely personal decision.
The menus
Three series, chosen in advance
Seafood, a salad with grilled shrimp, zucchini, mango and passion fruit sauce; followed by a baked cube glazed with miso, with bok choy, enoki mushrooms and a butter and caper sauce.
Meat, a salad with grilled beef fillet, quail eggs, cherry tomatoes and capers in vitello tonnato sauce; followed by duck breast with carrot-miso puree and a spiced cranberry sauce.
Modern Thai, octopus in green curry sauce with Thai eggplant and cha-om; followed by seafood tom yum with shrimp, octopus, calamari, mussels and sea bass.
and the dessert is shared by all three: "Volcano", meringue with mascarpone cream, fresh mango and raspberry sauce, with liquid nitrogen that creates an eruption effect. This is the dish everyone photographs.

The cocktails

The cocktail seatings are served in the two most extreme hours of the day, 16:00 and 21:00.
AZURE, gin, lavender, kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass and butterfly pea.
CLOUDS, gin, vermouth, lime and vanilla foam.
All the cocktails are also available in a non-alcoholic version, and this is stated explicitly by the venue. That means even those who don't drink, or who are driving afterward, get the same experience.
