A hat and water. Most of the tour is outdoors, and Thailand's hot hours are tough even for those used to it.
What you see on the tour
The Big Buddha It's the statue that appears in every photo of Phuket, 45 meters of white marble atop Nakkerd Hill, visible from half the island. From the terrace around it, a view opens in two directions: Chalong Bay on one side and Karon on the other.
The statue was closed to visitors following a landslide in August 2024, and reopened in March 2026. If you saw information saying it's closed, it's outdated.
Wat Chalong It's the important temple in Phuket and one of the most beautiful in southern Thailand. The central chedi has three levels, and inside it is a bone fragment of the Buddha. It's an active temple, and those who arrive in the morning see local worshippers, not just tourists.
Promthep Cape It's the southern tip of the island, and it's Phuket's famous sunset spot. In programs that include it, you arrive there toward the end of the tour.
Kata-Karon viewpoint It overlooks three bays at once — Kata Noi, Kata and Karon. This is the stop where people take photos.
The Old City It's pastel-colored Sino-Portuguese streets, with nineteenth-century façades, cafés and small galleries. It's completely different from the rest of the island.
Who this suits
For those coming to Phuket for a week and want A day away from the sea. This tour gives you the island's framework — religion, scenery and the city — in half a day.
The programs with ATVs and elephants suit families who want the kids to do something, not just look. The basic program suits better those who come for the places themselves.
Less suitable for those who prefer exploring alone — this is a group tour with a schedule, and stop time at each point is limited.
Six programs, what's the difference
All programs include the The heart of the tour, the Big Buddha, Wat Chalong and the viewpoints, and differ in what's added to them.
Plan 8 It's the base, and the cheap one. Plan 7 adds the Old Town, and Plan 6 adds Promthep Cape and also Photos with elephants At an elephant camp, photos only, no riding.
Plan 5 Adds Elephant riding, and Plan 3 Adds ATV ride on dirt trails. Plan 2 It's the biggest of them all: ATVs, elephant riding, a monkey show and the full tour.
The whole tour lasts Four to five hours, regardless of the program. What changes is how packed it is.
The commercial stops: worth knowing in advance
All programs include a stop at Honey farm, in Cashew nut factory and a souvenir shop with a coffee break.
These are short stops that include tastings, and they're a regular part of this type of tour in Thailand. There's no obligation to buy, but it's worth knowing they're there so you're not surprised.

How much does the tour cost?
The basic program is ฿800 for an adult and ฿500 for a child. The program with the Old Town is ฿950, with Promthep Cape ฿1,000, with elephant riding ฿1,300, with ATVs ฿1,550, and the full program ฿1,850.
