What to know before you book
Is the tour suitable for families with children?
The tour is very suitable for families with children aged 3 and up. The jeeps are equipped with seatbelts, and the route is also suitable for children. Children usually especially enjoy the visit to the elephant farm, the waterfalls and the secret garden. For very young children (under age 3), the tour may be long and challenging, but they can take part for free accompanied by their parents.
What's the difference between the various tours?
The different tours offer different focuses and unique sites: the Jungle Discovery tour focuses on the island's nature and stunning views. The elephant cooking and feeding tour focuses on an interactive experience with elephants, including preparing their food and feeding them. The elephant mud spa tour offers a unique experience of mud bathing with elephants, preparing health supplements and walking with them in the jungle. The budget tour offers a basic safari experience…
Is special physical fitness required for the tour?
No special physical fitness is required to take part in the tour. Most sites are accessible and walking in them is relatively easy. There are a few short walking trails in the jungle and at the waterfalls that require a little effort. The guides always adjust the pace of the tour to the participants' abilities. For people with mobility limitations, it's important to mention this when booking so we can adapt the route accordingly.
What's the difference between the elephant farms visited?
We work only with ethical elephant farms that give the elephants good living conditions and proper care. On the cooking and elephant-feeding tour, the focus is on feeding the elephants and preparing food for them, with explanations about their lives and needs. On the mud spa tour, held at a different farm, the experience includes a mud bath with the elephants, a natural activity that is important for their health and hygiene. In Koh Samui we do not have elephant riding, and there are no activities that could harm their welfare.
What happens in case of rain?
The trips also go ahead in light rain, which sometimes even adds to the tropical atmosphere and freshens the air. We provide umbrellas, and the jeeps are fitted with rain covers. In heavy rain or thunderstorms, safety is always the top priority, so the trip may be postponed to another day or a full refund offered. The decision is usually made on the morning of the trip, and notice is given to the hotel.
