What is in the park

Rides, a snow area and shows

Dream World amusement park in Bangkok
Dream World amusement park in Bangkok

Dream World is A large amusement park on the outskirts of Bangkok, and it's divided into themed zones with rides, shows and family attractions.

The most talked-about area is The snow area, a cooled space with real snow, an unexpected experience in a city where it's 33 degrees.

Details of rides, minimum height and show times, we'll confirm them for you at booking.

What's at Dream World

Four zones, and one of them you won't find in any other park in Thailand

Snow Town

A hall cooled to below-zero temperatures, with real snow and ice slides. Requires a height above 155 cm, and this is a restriction that excludes many children.

Go-kart

A go-kart track inside the park. It too Above 155 cm, and in the full package it's included at no extra cost.

Tornado

The park's flagship ride in the adrenaline zone, along with the roller coaster and the drop tower.

4D Adventure

A screening hall with moving seats and effects, water, wind and smell. Also suitable for children who can't go on the big rides.

Water Fun

A water area with slides and shallow pools, separate from the dry rides area.

Shows

The Colors of the World Parade at 15:00 and the Hollywood Action Show at 13:00, Weekends only.

The height limit, and why it's especially important here

155 cm, and what happens to those shorter than that

The two things that appear in the ticket's "what's included" list, Snow City and go-karting: require a height of Above 155 centimeters. This is a safety restriction of the park, with no exceptions.

The meaning is practical, not theoretical: A ten-year-old child of average height won't get on either of them, even though its ticket includes them. The rest of the park is open before it, but the two things most associated with Dream World aren't.

So it's worth measuring before booking. A family that comes mainly for the snow and discovers this at the gate loses the main part of the day.

Next to every ride in the park, its age and height limits are displayed, and there are additional rides with lower thresholds.

A child up to 90 cm tall enters for free.

Which ticket to choose

The only difference is the meal

Both tickets give the same entry and the same rides. The only difference is a buffet meal, and it costs an extra 250 THB.

In an amusement park where you spend a full day, a meal is bought anyway. Those planning to stay, the ticket with the buffet is usually worth it.

How to get there, and what's worth knowing in advance

The park is on the outskirts of Bangkok, not in the city

Dream World is located On the outskirts of Bangkok, in the Rangsit area to the north of the city. The convenient way is a taxi or private car, about an hour's drive from the city center, depending on traffic.

There's also a way by public transport: Light rail to Mo Chit station, and from there a dedicated bus to the park. Cheaper, longer.

Same-day booking is possible until 08:00 Thailand time. After that you need to book for another day.

To redeem, present the voucher together with a passport or ID at the information desk. Carnival games are not included in any package and are paid separately on-site.

The park is accessible, there are wheelchairs for rent and ramps between zones.

What distinguishes Dream World from other amusement parks

and why families choose it

Dream World opened in 1993 and it one of the veterans among Thailand's amusement parks. Unlike dedicated water parks or adrenaline parks, it mixes both with family zones and garden scenery.

Its big distinction is Snow Town, a hall cooled to below-zero temperatures with real snow, ice slides and ice sculptures. This is something almost nonexistent in Thailand, and it's the reason many come.

The park is built around A central lake and manicured gardens, and the rides are spread around it. This makes it more pleasant to walk than parks built like an asphalt lot.

Its audience is mostly Local Thai, and not touristy. This affects the atmosphere, the prices at the food stalls and the queues on weekends.

Who this suits

and what the difference is from the water park

for families with children looking for A full day of rides and not a short visit.

This is a park Amusement and not a water park, those looking for water slides will find them at other parks, and that's a completely different product.

What to bring and how to plan the day

Warm clothes in the middle of Bangkok

For Snow City you need warm clothes. At the entrance, coats and gloves are rented, but those who bring their own layer save a queue and a fee. The temperature in the hall is below zero.

ל The water area You need a swimsuit and towel. Easiest to wear the swimsuit from home under your clothes.

It's worth starting specifically with The dry rides In the morning, when it's not hot yet, and move to the water in the afternoon. Most visitors do the opposite, so the queues for the dry rides are shorter in the morning.

The buffet, in the package that includes it, is served in a dedicated hall during set midday hours. Those who are late miss it.

The water area

and what the difference is between it and a real water park

Water Fun is A water area inside an amusement park and not a standalone water park. It has slides and shallow pools, and it's mainly suitable for children and families.

Those looking for big slides and a wave pool will find them at dedicated parks, Here it's an area to cool off in, not a destination in itself.

You need a swimsuit and towel, and there are changing rooms. The area sometimes closes earlier than the rest of the park, so it's worth doing it before the end of the day.
